Some nice photo's kindley sent in by Vince who descends from the well known Romany Smith's & associated families.
Pictured left:-Guilroy Smith, Samson Smith ( we think) and Reuben/ Rodney Smith in the middle.
We believe the people at the back are church dignitaries and the photo was taken in Stroud. There is an inscription at the bottom that reads,
'' Gypsy Smith & Company "
The man holding his lapelles in the centre of this photo is my Grt Grandad Alfie Gregory. Next to him is his Mum, Annie Musto ( Moskey). To his left is his brother Doctor (Tim) Gregory. Annie's sister Jane was married to my Grt GRt Uncle Samson Smith and her brother Jack ( john) was great Grandfather to many of the Doe's that I know.
Pictured above :-Her is a photo given to me by my Mother in Law. No one can remember who the people are. I think they are probably Lancashire Boswells etc. Thanks to you I know that my Wife and I share a common ancestor in Salavaino Boswell
